Goodnight, Death: A Banned Book Mystery

What could possibly go wrong at a meeting of the Pine View Elementary PTA? Nothing except a plan by a determined busybody set on banning a classic picture book from the school library, and she’s got enough dirt on the rest of the members to make it happen. But someone finds a way to get the book ban off the agenda–permanently!

Join us for our newest murder mystery dinner show, Goodnight Death: A Banned Book Mystery on February 25, 2016 at The Pittsboro Roadhouse.  The show starts at 7:00 pm and dinner is served between scenes as the murder unfolds.  You, the audience, have a chance to question characters and try to figure out who committed the murder and why.  Winners get a prize!

Early bird tickets are available until January 31 for only $45 (price includes three course meal and show ticket). From February 1, 2016, tickets are $50.  Bringing a group? Group discounts are available as well! All tickets are available here.

Mark Twain’s The Diaries of Adam and Eve

The Phoenix Theatre Company is back at The Roadhouse with their production of Mark Twain’s The Diaries of Adam and Eve. This funny and often poignant play, based on the short stories by Mark Twain, relates the Genesis story from the perspectives of the first two humans. AND it’s PAY WHAT YOU WISH Admission.

What is PAY WHAT YOU WISH Admission, you ask? Ticket prices for shows in the area range from about $20-$50, which is sometimes prohibitive for potential audiences.  But this is a great show. We want EVERYONE to come see it. In fact, we feel so strongly about that, we’re simply asking every audience member to pay what they wish.  If you can afford to pay $35 for your ticket, GREAT! You’re financially supporting a local, non-subsidized, professional theatre company, as well as seeing a fantastic production.  If you can only afford to pay $5, GREAT! Come see this show and support local theatre with your very presence.  We will see you there.

Come early and enjoy a meal or drinks!

Performance Dates:
8 October at 8:00 pm
11 October at 2:00 pm
13 October at 8:00 pm

Ye Merry Olde Murder

Dednam is hosting it’s very first Renaissance Faire and it’s shaping up to be an…interesting…time! This will be an authentic experience, with princesses, court jesters, musketeers, and…is that a taco truck?! Perhaps the town could have put a little more research into their project, but their intention is pure: to make money. The desire for money may lead to more than Dednam bargained for when someone ends up dead. Who did it? And why? Well, Dednam needs the audience to help figure that bit out. Join us for intrigue, a great meal…and a proper Renaissance Faire sword fight!

Phoenix Theatre Company is returning to the Pittsboro Roadhouse for murder mystery #!  On 18 May, 2015, we will present Ye Olde Murder Mystery.  This is a dinner and show deal–show starts at seven pm with the first course coming shortly after the first scene.  These shows sell quickly, so be sure to make your reservations in advance!
